At Reckitt, we believe our people are at the heart of our success. As a Payroll & Benefits Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of accurate, compliant, and employee-centric payroll services while supporting a complex and dynamic international environment.
This role goes beyond transactional payroll processing. You will serve as a trusted payroll expert, driving operational excellence, risk mitigation, compliance, and continuous improvement across your designated markets. You will work closely with HR, Finance, Tax, external payroll providers, and business stakeholders to ensure payroll operations are executed to the highest standard.
Given our current strategic priorities, we are particularly interested in professionals with strong Dutch payroll expertise, including experience navigating complex tax, social security, and equity-related payroll matters.
Your responsibilities
1. Payroll Operations & Compliance:
• Own and oversee end-to-end payroll activities for your assigned market(s), ensuring payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on schedule.
• Partner closely with local stakeholders, payroll vendors, HR teams, and Finance to ensure seamless payroll service delivery.
• Perform detailed payroll validation and variance analysis, identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies to maintain the highest levels of payroll accuracy.
• Ensure all payroll activities are fully compliant with local legislation, tax regulations, social security requirements, and internal governance standards.
• Prepare, review, and approve payroll outputs, reports, reconciliations, and related documentation.
2. Subject Matter Expertise:
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on payroll, taxation, social security, and benefits-related matters.
• Provide guidance on complex payroll scenarios, including: 30% ruling administration, Cross-entity payroll arrangements, Tax year corrections and retroactive adjustments, Social security implications, Equity compensation programs, International assignments and mobility-related payroll matters
• Support the resolution of complex employee and stakeholder queries.
3. Statutory & Benefits Administration:
• Ensure the accurate administration and reporting of payroll taxes, statutory deductions, social security contributions, and other regulatory obligations.
• Manage company benefits and related payroll components, including insurance premiums, pensions, sick pay, and other employee entitlements.
• Coordinate the submission of statutory filings and maintain complete audit-ready documentation.
• Oversee payroll calendars and payment schedules to ensure timely execution of employee and third-party payments.
4. Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external payroll providers, government authorities, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with HR, Reward, Tax, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure alignment on payroll-related matters.
• Support internal and external audits by providing payroll expertise, documentation, and remediation actions where required.
5. Continuous Improvement & Transformation:
• Contribute to payroll transformation projects, including system implementations, integrations, and process redesign initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and enhance the employee experience.
The experience we're looking for
• Recognized Dutch payroll qualification (PDL, VPS and/or NIRPA registration preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll, wage tax, social security, payroll compliance, 30% ruling, tax year corrections, and cross-entity payroll.
• Fluent in English, with Dutch language skills considered a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of payroll experience, including end-to-end payroll ownership.
• Experience working with payroll providers such as ADP, Strada, or similar.
• Proven experience in multinational payroll environments.
• Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
