About the role

As the Emerging Markets Tax Compliance and Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting across our Emerging Markets region, ensuring compliance with countries tax laws. Responsible for working with the Tax outsource provider and managing Tax audits within our Emerging Markets region, ensuring all company processes are followed. The role will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery in line with agreed timelines. You will be responsible for motivating and managing Reckitt stakeholders in the provision of accurate and timely information. You will work closely with the Tax Business Partners to understand their requirements and will ensure that all company policies are adhered to. This role demands regional tax knowledge and the ability to lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity.Summary of Responsibilities 

Your responsibilities

Tax Compliance

 

  • Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across Emerging Markets, supported by outsourced/co‑sourced tax service providers.
  • Manage submissions for corporate tax returns, VAT/GST returns, VAT/GST refunds, informative/statistical filings, WHT compliance, Pillar 2 (where applicable), and Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Review all tax reporting submissions, including quarterly group tax reporting packs.
  • Ensure timely completion of direct and indirect tax balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Define and monitor Tax Compliance & Tax Reporting KPIs, including escalation routes.
  • Track legislative changes and update internal tax policies and procedures accordingly.

 

Tax Provision

  • Review high‑complexity markets’ tax charge submissions for group tax reporting.
  • Oversee reconciliation of deferred tax and corporate tax balances.
  • Manage tax provisions for statutory accounts and coordinate with auditors as needed.
  • Provide input for effective tax rate forecasting for key markets.

Tax Controversy

  • Support tax audits and collaborate with Group Tax on strategic positions, engaging with local advisors where required.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with CoE/Market Controllers to ensure end‑to‑end tax compliance across Emerging Markets
  • Align with Controllers on data requirements and deliverables for outsourced tax providers.

Transformation

  • Support Group Tax with tax technology, advisory, and data analytics initiatives.
  • Oversee the Tax Controls Framework and compliance governance.
  • Manage the exceptions process and drive continuous improvements across tax compliance processes.

The experience we're looking for

  • 7+ years relevant Tax compliance experience preferable
  • Recognised tax/accounting qualification e.g. CTA
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to oversee and manage people in a Compliance environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels including a wide range of stakeholders

  • Highly organised, diligent with attention to detail and the ability to maintain these skills whilst working under pressure
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook are essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform/Co-Pilot technology and workflow management solutions is desirable
  • Compliance orientated, auditing and risk management experience
  • People management experience
  • Proven ability to work to on projects / lead projects driving change and delivering to stringent deadline
  • Fluent professional English language requirement
