About the role

The Finance Trainee plays a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant, and insight-driven finance operations across core finance processes. The role supports transactional excellence, financial controls, reporting accuracy, business partnering, and continuous improvement initiatives across Record to Report (R2R), Source to Pay (STP), FP&A, and Finance Operations activities.

The role requires strong analytical capability, operational discipline, stakeholder collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset to support Reckitt’s performance-driven culture.

Your responsibilities

Record to Report (R2R)

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in line with global timelines.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reporting.
  • Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and control gaps.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

FP&A Support

  • Assist in preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
  • Analyze actual versus forecast performance and highlight key business trends.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial metrics.

Source to Pay (STP)

  • Support invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment tracking.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues.
  • Monitor adherence to procurement and payment policies.
  • Support working capital and cash management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with approval matrices and financial governance standards.

Finance Operations

  • Deliver finance operational activities within agreed SLA and KPI targets.
  • Drive process standardization and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support automation and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain high levels of data accuracy and process documentation.
  • Collaborate across functions and global teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred
  • Typically 1–3 years of relevant finance or shared services experience.
  • Experience in multinational or global business services environments preferred.

The skills for success

  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of R2R, STP, FP&A, and finance operational processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Good analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
