About the role

The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Tax is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimising the end-to-end tax processes across the organisation on a global scale. The GPO will ensure that tax operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company's overall business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations as well as our tax compliance outsource provider, to design and implement best practices in tax management. The role requires technical expertise in both technology and tax. To deliver best in class processes, the role will work with outsourced / captive GBS teams, Group Tax and third-party advisors to address local nuance. 

Your responsibilities

Tax Compliance

  • Execute the global tax compliance strategy set by Tax Reporting & Analytics / Indirect Tax Directors.
  • Design and standardize tax processes, driving global transformation and process improvements.
  • Implement and ensure ongoing adherence to approved CoE ways of workin
  • Work with Area Tax leads to monitor legislative and business changes to keep systems and processes compliant.


Transformation

  • Support implementation of the future tax operating model.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities, automation areas, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Improve tax processes and controls, ensuring effective rollout of enhancements.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners to assess upstream process changes linked to transformation or continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with CHQ Tax leadership on tax technology strategy and alignment with Reckitt’s enterprise systems for Direct and Indirect Tax.
  • Support deployment and adoption of tax technology solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tax systems, including SAP.
  • Manage budgets, ROI tracking, and third‑party/technology provider engagements to ensure solutions meet Reckitt standards.


Business Partnering

  • Act as the link between CHQ, Controllership, and CoE tax teams to ensure end‑to‑end process ownership.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams, Global Process Owners, and senior leadership to support change management initiatives impacting Tax.

The experience we're looking for

  • 5+ years relevant Tax experience preferable
  • Recognised tax/accounting qualification e.g. CTA
  • Experience leading a global tax function design or technology implementation focused on process improvement
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead, oversee, motivate and manage people in a Tax & Compliance environment

  • Excellent knowledge of leadership, coaching and people development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience with SAP (inc. PaPM), MSFT applications such as Co-Pilot, Power Platforms, etc., and other tax technology.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of all Tax processes including best practice in Tax, people, processes and technology (including workflow management)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels including a wide range of stakeholders
