About the role

The HR Data Governance Architect leads the design and implementation of data governance across SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and reliable HR data. The role bridges HR, IT, and Data teams to establish standards, ownership models, and governance processes that support decision-making and operational excellence. 

Your responsibilities

1. Data Governance Strategy & Framework 

Define and implement a global HR data governance framework specific to SAP SuccessFactors. 

Establish policies, standards, and operating models for HR master data. 

Create and manage data ownership (stewards, owners, custodians) structures. 

Lead governance forums (e.g., Data Councils, HR Data Boards). 

 

2. Data Quality & Integrity 

Using and remediation programmes working with the Data Governance Lead. 

Use tools (e.g. dashboards) to manage data quality. 

 

3. Master Data Management 

Establish governance over employee master data lifecycle:  

Hire,Move,Change, Terminate 

Define and enforce:  

Naming conventions 

Data standards 

Reference data management 

Support global vs local data model harmonisation. 

 

4. Integration & Data Flows 

Own governance over HR data integrations:  

SAP CPI / Integration Center / APIs 

Payroll systems (SAP, ADP, etc.) 

Identity systems (Azure AD, IAM) 

Ensure data consistency across systems and reduce duplication. 

Define data lineage and end-to-end traceability. 

 
5. Compliance, Privacy & Risk 

Ensure compliance with:  

GDPR and other data privacy regulations 

Internal audit and security policies

The experience we're looking for

8–12+ years in HRIS, data governance, or enterprise data architecture. 

Strong experience with SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central essential). 

Proven leadership in data governance implementation or transformation programmes. 

Experience designing global HR data models in complex organisations. 

Experience managing HR data in multi-country environments.
