About the role
We are looking for a skilled IT&D Manager, Manufacturing Network Architect, to join our IT&D Data Centre and Global Connectivity team. This role focuses on designing and implementing network strategies for manufacturing, delivering secure, scalable solutions that integrate IT and OT systems, support smart manufacturing technologies, and enable Private 5G. The candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership to drive innovation and advance the goals of the Digital Manufacturing Program.
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures for digital manufacturing, integrating IoT and OT, while leveraging advanced technologies such as Private 5G, SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA and SDN to ensure high availability and support for edge computing and hybrid IT/OT environments.
- Implement cutting-edge security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and network segmentation, to safeguard OT networks.
- Oversee the deployment of network infrastructure across global manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless integration between IT and OT systems.
- Manage integration of IT and OT networks while maintaining robust security and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including IEC 62443 and NIST, for manufacturing environments.
- Conduct and lead regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits to identify and mitigate IT/OT network risks.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Network Architect, Proficient in Cisco Catalyst Switching, Wireless (including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers), DNA Center, and Software-Defined Access (SDA).
- Specializing in designing and managing complex network infrastructures.
- Proven track record of integrating IT and OT networks within manufacturing or industrial environments. (Highly preferred)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – preferred.
- Hands-on experience implementing Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) and policy-driven network segmentation. Familiarity with emerging wireless technologies including Private 5G and IoT connectivity (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
