About the role

The Principal Business Analyst is responsible for the governance and enforcement of standardised solutions for projects, programme, and continuous improvement initiatives within their defined capability areas in OTC/STP/RTR/P&BP/T&E/C&SF.  They triage the demands from the respective capabilities and allocate them to the most suitable analyst, balancing capacity and opportunity for growth.  The principal BA is responsible for line management activities for the team and supporting personal development plans.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation and business-as-usual running of Finance systems, e.g. Blackline, HighRadius, Concur, SAC etc
  • Reviewing validation documentation, e.g. Validation Plans, Validation reports and other necessary SOX documents.
  • Working with business users to understand the system requirements, technical issues, and support IT developer/vendor in addressing the needs.
  •  Working with delivery partners to ensure that any functional designs they are delivering are in line with standardised templates.
  • Supporting the product managers in the delivery of demands and features through delegation to the team of BA’s
  • Managing the team of BA’s and SBA’s

The experience we're looking for

  • Extensive experience working in a Business Analyst role like driving Requirements & Design workshops with various Business & IT stakeholders, SOX documentation skills, excellent communication skills and basic Finance process knowledge.
  • Proven track record of expertise of suite of Finance solutions e.g.SAP (Required), Document Management System (preferred), Service Now (preferred), SAC(preferred), Azure Dev Ops(Required)etc.
  • Hands on experience in creating Test Plans, and other relevant documentation required in regulated environments.
  • Experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders to balance business needs with IT standards and processes.
  • Enthusiastic about the use of technology, with a proven ability to provide a communication ‘bridge’ between the business and technologists.
  • Extensive experience of working in a mixed Waterfall and Agile delivery environment
  • Experience of managing people, their workload, prioritisation and personal development
