About the role

The Test lead responsibility is to provide overall governance and management of all testing within the SAP transformation programme.  This includes system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, performance testing and test automation.
The ideal candidate would have end to end experience of SAP Test Management within a global programme.  The Test lead will provide input and be informed on all phases of testing and will ensure that test preparation (including test data set definition) is completed ahead of all testing phase starts.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure Test Strategy and Deployment Test Approach is fit for purpose. 
  • Support local test leads in understanding the test strategy and general test approach to be followed. 
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the local teams are adhering with Best Practices when performing testing. 
  • Engage with local business teams to ensure testing requirements are understood and fully met. 
  • Work with vendors during the deployment to ensure local legacy systems are tested based on a risk-based test approach. 
  • Collaborate with local Super Users, SAP CC and BPOs to define scope of SIT & UAT including data and resource requirements, leveraging a risk-based test approach. 
  • Complete all testing Deliverables e.g. SIT & UAT execution plan and execution schedule, RTM. 
  • Coordinate with PMO for review & approvals of test deliverables. 
  • Review & approval of test governance documentation like Test Plans, Test Reports & RTM. 
  • Ensure the daily status reporting, defects, run rates are available. 
  • Management of RAG Status reporting to share the health of Test Phases including Test Risk and Issues management

The experience we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in IT with expertise in SAP testing, SIT Integration, UAT, Automation testing (TOSCA).
  • Excellent leadership and organisational capabilities to drive SIT & UAT Testing. 
  • Good understanding of Waterfall Project Management Methodology and how these apply to testing. 
  • Practical experience with the testing tool ALM. 
  • Good knowledge of business processes and computer systems across the SAP landscape. 
  • Experience of test management in an SAP or other ERP deployment programme. 
  • Ability to manage up and down including confident interaction with senior stakeholders. 
  • Ability to multitask and execute activities with minimum supervision in a global environment. 
  • Program and Project Management qualifications e.g. Prince2, PMP.
