About the role
Senior Finance Analyst – IT & Digital is responsible for providing financial governance and operational support for IT & Digital projects. This role manages project budgets, oversees vendor and contract (SOW) management, handles project cross charges, and ensures effective lifecycle management of software licenses. The position acts as a key business partner to IT project managers, procurement, finance controllers, and external vendors.
Your responsibilities
• Develop, track, and manage annual and project level IT & Digital budgets.
• Monitor actuals vs. forecast, analyse variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and cost allocation aligned with Finance policies.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closure activities related to IT spend.
• Provide financial insights to enable decision making and cost optimization
• Manage end-to-end vendor onboarding, coordination, and performance oversight.
• Review SOWs for commercial accuracy, rate validation, deliverables, and alignment with budget.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Legal to ensure timely execution of contracts.
• Track vendor invoices, validate against SOWs, and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain a repository of vendor contracts, extensions, and renewals
• Own the cross charge framework for IT & Digital projects, including allocation methodologies.
• Ensure accurate and timely recharge of project costs to business units or functions.
• Work with Finance Business Partners to ensure transparency and alignment of allocations.
• Validate cost centre mapping, accruals, and capitalization of projects wherever applicable
• Track software license inventory, usage, renewals, and compliance status.
• Identify optimization opportunities (unused licenses, consolidation, cost reductions).
• Maintain up-to-date records of license agreements, entitlements, and vendor SLAs.
• Support IT Project Managers with financial planning, risk assessment
• Ensure all financial processes comply with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Prepare dashboards and KPIs for leadership visibility.
The experience we're looking for
• CA or bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting
• 5–8 years of experience in Finance, ideally supporting IT, Digital, or Technology functions.
• Experience managing project budgets, vendor contracts, and cross charges
• Strong understanding of IT commercial models (SOWs, time & material, fixed price, licenses).
Functional Skills
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP/Procurement systems.
• Good knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, subscription, enterprise licenses).
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and financial modelling
• Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules preferred) for budgeting, cost tracking, purchase orders, and vendor invoice validation.
• Blackline end user knowledge for reconciliations, month end activities, and compliance tracking.
