About the role
The Product Manager for Learning, acts as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and is responsible for the product vision, strategy, and end-to-end value delivery across the full product lifecycle. They work closely with Stakeholders to understand their needs and how they can be fulfilled through future product increments. They are accountable for the product from ideation through to design, build, deploy, operate, and retirement.
The Product Manager defines the product vision and strategy while clearly articulating how the product fits into the ecosystem and maximises value in line with business objectives. They develop strong relationships with customers / end users in order to understand their needs and how they can be fulfilled through future product development. They manage and prioritise the product backlog so that the most valuable customer requirements are delivered first. They oversee the development stages of the product lifecycle (e.g., planning, refinement, review and sprint) and motivate the Product Team to understand customer needs and identify the best solutions for delivering customer value. They work with the Business Analyst to develop and design business scenarios and use cases.
Your responsibilities
• Implementation of short and long-term detailed product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Management of prioritised product backlog and product dependencies based on overall strategy, business objectives and customer/ end users needs
• Own and deliver end-to-end projects using agreed project methodology from supporting RFPs to leading/overseeing design, build and testing.
• Continuous improvements through regular product performance reports on adoption rates, customer survey results, service performance metrics, etc.
• Security compliance and risk-management across entire product scope
• Work closely with BAU support teams, training and knowledge transfer.
Key interactions and Stakeholders:
• Acts as primary communicator and link between all stakeholders (customers, end users, business community, development team, system and/or solution architects, and PMO) and the product.
• Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders including members from Senior leadership team and ability to influence them in co-creating/ maintaining the product roadmap
• Coaches team members (e.g., Full Stack Engineers, Business Analyst) to focus on business value by delivering product increments in a flexible work environment
• Coordinates with other Product Managers and Product Line Managers on product dependencies
• Coordinates with Platform Team members (e.g., Platform Manager) on requirements for product delivery
• Oversees relationships with selected vendors / suppliers involved in the delivery of development, testing, and support services
The experience we're looking for
Functional:
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in working with core HR systems – Talent Management, Core HR
• Strong understanding of the product / software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience in SuccessFactors PMGM /Succession modules preferable.
• Abreast of the latest market trends and how this translates into product opportunities and challenges
• Experience in leading cross-functional, diverse teams to achieve results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing product use cases and determining the associated impact
Technical:
• Strong understanding of requirements elicitation and management techniques
• Knowledgeable about product performance measures and metrics
• Experience of applying relevant Agile frameworks and methodologies, e.g., Scrum, XP
• Experience and understanding of working with system integrations across platforms.
Methodologies:
• Software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
