About the Finance Planning & Reporting CoE
Driving consistency, standardisation and simplification across our Finance function, the Finance Planning & Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE) is instrumental in delivering the insights needed to drive efficient and effective decision making. Fuelled by a culture of collaboration and innovation, the CoE is integral to our organisation, championing financial excellence in FP&A, Commercial Finance and Decision Support across our global landscape. Our CoE transforms data into insights and insights into decisions. It is the central engine that delivers standardised, end-to-end services on planning, forecasting, scenario modelling and reporting to the group. It drives business value creation, all whilst creating a pipeline of future finance talent and capabilities.
About the role
As Planning and Reporting (P&R) Global Excellence Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, accountable for driving continuous improvement, thought leadership for planning and reporting. You will lead efforts to standardize and optimize finance processes for Commercial Finance and Manufacturing Finance, while shaping the CoE’s data and tool strategy.
This role is focused on enabling operational excellence, improving efficiency, and ensuring that planning & reporting processes and systems deliver maximum value. You will lead high-impact projects, implemt global best practices, and drive initiatives that enhance reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the organization.
Your responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the CoE’s global planning and reporting process strategy, ensuring alignment across Commercial Finance, Manufacturing Finance, and data/technology initiatives.
- Process Improvement & Optimization: Lead initiatives to streamline finance processes, remove inefficiencies, and implement global best practices.
- Data & Technology Strategy: Shape and advance CoE data management frameworks and technology solutions to enable accurate reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency.
- Project Leadership: Manage complex, cross-functional projects focused on process standardization, automation, and transformation. Ensure projects deliver measurable business impact on time and within scope.
- Performance & KPI Management: Establish and monitor KPIs to track process effectiveness, technology adoption, and overall CoE performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior leadership and CoE teams to provide insights, recommendations, and guidance supporting decision-making and organizational goals.
- Change Management & Enablement: Drive adoption of new processes, tools, and systems, ensuring teams understand and implement excellence practices effectively.
- Finance Transformation: Participate in finance transformation initiatives by championing opportunities and technology solutions to streamline and improve existing FP&A processes, standardisation of report templates and the automation of manual tasks to enhance efficiency.
The experience we're looking for
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in finance, with a deep understanding of financial processes including consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally within the CPG sector.
- Excellent English language skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively across geographies and functions
- Experienced in managing teams and continuous improvement
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Experience with custom internal workflow systems
- Experience in data modelling and database design
- Familiarity with complementary technologies (e.g., ETL tools, SQL, scripting languages)
- Understanding of cloud architectures and deployment models
- Experience with large-scale, multi-entity implementations
- Strong communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between finance and business stakeholders.
- Proficient in financial planning and analysis practices, with high proficiency in Excel and reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
