About the role
Responsible for area development and sales growth in various channel such as General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT) and National Key Account (NKA). Maintaining relation with stakeholders such as account and distributor. Also, managing Field Sales Executive in their team, including performance development.
Coverage area: Bekasi & Banten (all channels), South Jakarta & East Jakarta (GT).
Scope:
Area Sales Manager responsible for one province or several cities in the province and managing minimum three Field Sales Executive.
In summary, you'll:
- Responsible for sales growth and achievement within the area.
- Forecast people requirements for basic growth or geographical areas and ensure timely recruitment in accordance with the company policy and always maintain full strength of Field Sales Executive in the area.
- Ensure that the Field Sales Executive are properly inducted into the systems and policy.
- Maintain good communication with Field Sales Executive to create a strong bond within the team.
- Set target for Field Sales Executive while giving them motivation and improving their performance from training, mentoring and one on one session.
- Supervise and evaluate Field Sales Executive performance.
- Plan coverage based on population, number of outlets, business potentials, etc.
- Ensure proper planning of area coverage plans and PJP’s, implementation of systematic area coverage and evaluating it to create another strategy to extend the business.
- Identify gaps in coverage and develop the solution.
- Negotiate with distributor for services and investment in stock levels and market credits.
- Prepare distribution target for all brand and making sure the Field Sales Executive to communicate the target with the distributor.
- Manage, active and drive the business in all the channel that’s being maintained.
- Making sure that company have a good relationship with distributors through meeting, training and development by Field Sales Executive.
- Develop system in the distributor to maximize the workflow.
- Monitor the stock and sales constantly to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
- Understand competitor strength and weakness, before sharing it with the team and creating a new customize strategy for the area.
- Maintaining contact with Regional Sales Manager on a regular basis.
- Monitor the utilization of trade spends and evaluates their effectiveness to ensure that it still on budget.
- Meet all deadlines of reporting.
- Forecast brand/SKU wise sales for the next month based on historical trends and different inputs.
- Complying with all the company policies and procedures.
The experience we're looking for:
- Comprehend geographical and sales conditions within the area.
- Capable to create accurate forecast.
- Strong leadership with effective communication, teamwork spirit and ability to manage people.
- Making decision based on analytical way of thinking.
- Implement strategy sufficiently.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, such as account & distributor.
- Proficient in English language will be a plus.
- Willing to be placed in the designated area.
