About the role

Reckitt is on the lookout for an experienced  Buyer "Packaging Materials " who will take charge of our factory procurement with precision and passion.This role oversees a portfolio of packaging materials, driving cost efficiencies and service improvements through effective sourcing strategies, tools, and techniques. It operates within defined policies and SOPs, with a strong impact on key financial metrics such as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Gross Margin (GM), and Net Working Capital (NWC). The role also ensures a compliant, reliable, and low-risk supplier base to support business continuity for Reckitt.re you ready to flex your negotiation muscles and secure deals that propel us forward? Your responsibilities

  • Executes sourcing strategies and manages supplier selection, contracting, and relationships to maintain a strong and effective supplier base.
  • Leads negotiations and oversees a portfolio of packaging materials, ensuring alignment with global commodity strategies.
  • Owns budgeting for materials and is accountable for delivering against cost assumptions and financial targets.
  • Monitors market trends, risks, and opportunities, implementing mitigation and contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.
  • Drives supplier performance in quality, service, and cost through improvement initiatives such as productivity, squeeze, and e-procurement.
  • Ensures strong governance and collaboration, including contract management, compliance with operating models, and effective use of procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Anaplan).

The experience we're looking for

  • Holds a BCom/BSc degree with at least 3 years’ procurement experience, ideally in FMCG or large multinational environments.
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, cost drivers, supplier markets, and negotiation practices.
  • Demonstrates solid financial and commercial acumen to identify and act on business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at senior levels across multi-country environments.
  • Action-oriented problem solver with a pragmatic, results-driven approach, even under challenging conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence diverse teams, and thrive in a high-autonomy, responsibility-driven environment.
