About the role
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – South Region is responsible for driving sales growth & target achievement, distributor management, ensuring flawless in-market execution across all channels.
Your responsibilities
1. Deliver Sales Growth & Commercial Target Achievement
- Own and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the South Region.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to maximize volume, value, and market share.
- Track sales performance and implement corrective actions to address gaps.
- Drive category growth in priority channels (LKA & Top stores, Provisions)
2. Distributor Management
- Manage day‑to‑day distributor operations, ensuring optimal stock availability, order fill rates, and inventory health (DB scorecard)
- Lead distributor sales representatives to achieve coverage, productivity, and execution KPIs.
- Conduct monthly distributor business reviews (DBRs) & all execute all DB operating model meetings to monitor performance, financial health, and ROI.
- Ensure adherence to company policies on pricing, credit management, and trade investments.
3. Field Execution Excellence
- Ensure SFA (Sales Force Automation) and MFA (Merchandising Field Automation) tools are fully adopted and achievement of relevant target KPIs.
- Conduct regular market visits to audit execution across channels and identify improvement areas.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams.
4. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Manage and coach the regional sales team (Sales Supervisors, sales representatives, Field operations)
- Conduct field coaching to strengthen selling skills and in‑store execution discipline.
- Build a high‑performance culture with clear KPIs and frequent performance reviews.
The experience we're looking for
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in managerial role.
- Must have strong understanding of South market, including established relationships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners.
- Demonstrated success in managing distributors and field sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and execution discipline.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Must be willing to be based in Johor.
