The Role

This role helps build the overall strategy and executional tactics that influence and help in changing behaviors with HCPs for the Medical Channel across categories (Health and Nutrition).

What you'll do


Planning and Monitoring

  • Establishes, launches and monitors strategies for the Medical channel (community primary care HCPs) that are consistent with business priorities and objectives
  • Assists in preparing brand plan and other business planning deliverables to support go-to-market approach activities
  • Collaborates with brand managers and with Healthcare Sales to gather requirements for implementation of medical channel-related activities
  • Participates in relevant brand planning and POA meetings, and contributes to the implementation and monitoring of medical channel activities
  • Prepare tactical briefs under the supervision of the Senior Manager Medical Marketing (SMMM)


  • Prepares and executes all required administrative documents and approvals to execute on overall channel plans (POs, SOWs, 3rd party contracts, including external suppliers & HCPs) in accordance with compliance requirements and policies on interactions with HCPs
  • Monitors medical channel budgets and coordinates with Finance and with Healthcare Sales for financial monitoring requirements to ensure alignment with planned channel spend


Executional Support

  • Supports the Medical Marketing Team in the planning and development of messaging, tools & materials, medical education programs, medical sponsorships, national & regional conferences to support Healthcare Sales HCP engagement working with external 3rd parties, RB global markets, digital platforms and healthcare sales stakeholders
  • Builds collaborative relationships with internal teams (sales, regulatory, market research, digital, finance etc) to support the implementation of medical marketing plans

  • Project management – able to plan project objectives and break projects down into components to achieve project milestones toward completion
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute against assigned projects, deadlines and budgets with supervision on strategic prioritization
  • Partnership- Team player, able to build strong partnerships with cross-functional team-members, identifying resources and colleagues required to effectively push a project through to completion. 
  • Agility - Proactively seeks feedback and opportunities to learn and improve. Can adjust, adapt, respond and be resourceful in the face of change and maintain equilibrium under pressure
  • Understanding of financial planning tools and ability to expertly navigate financial approval systems and platforms
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal stakeholders to ensure buy-in to project support


  • Desired: Minimum 3 years developing project plans for a healthcare / consumer health / OTC / pharmaceutical company
  • Experience working within strict regulatory & legal environments.
  • Adept at MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)


  • University degree in Business or Science, MBA an asset
  • Scientific background is an asset
  • Project management certification is an asset
