About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of the site's capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, in line with Reckitt's project governance guidelines and Global Engineering Standards. The role covers everything from scope development and engineering estimates through execution, close-out, handover and capitalization, while keeping the site's project pipeline live and on track.
Scope covers full lifecycle ownership of assigned capital projects – stakeholder management, technical scoping, cost engineering, supplier and contractor management, execution management, CapEx forecasting and spend control, risk forecasting and mitigation action plan.
Your responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project management for assigned capital projects, in line with governance guidelines and Global Engineering Standards.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders (Manufacturing, Finance, NPS, EHS, Quality, contractors and suppliers) to keep projects aligned and on track.
- Build a strong technical understanding of project scope, reviewing technical drawings, P&IDs and MEP designs to validate design intent and constructability.
- Maintain a hands-on, on-floor grip on execution activities, supervising in-house teams and contracted staff through MEP and civil works.
- Develop and maintain project plans and critical path schedules (CPS), tracking progress and adherence to agreed timelines.
- Prepare engineering estimates, cost plans and Capital funding plans for new and ongoing projects.
- Identify, select and manage suppliers and contractors, including scope clarification, coordination and performance follow-up.
- Forecast project risks and develop mitigation plans, escalating deviations from plan in a timely manner.
- Forecast and control CapEx spend against approved budgets, tracking actuals and ensuring forecast accuracy on a monthly basis.
- Keep the site's capital project pipeline live – identifying, scoping and funding future projects ahead of need.
- Manage the funding process for projects, including CER development and approvals per the Schedule of Authority.
- Ensure timely project close-out, handover to customer departments, and asset capitalization in line with finance requirements.
- Ensure all project work meets Global EHS, GMP and housekeeping standards, and complies with the Reckitt Code of Business Conduct and Engineering Standards.
- Coordinate with regional and global engineering teams to align on standards, best practice and lessons learned.
The experience we're looking for
- BE in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related discipline).
- 2–3 years of experience in CapEx / capital project management, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
The skills for success
- Technical understanding of MEP systems, technical drawings and P&IDs, with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CapEx expenditure principles, project budgeting and financial governance / approval processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
- Ability to develop engineering estimates, project plans and critical path schedules.
- Supplier and contractor management skills, from selection through performance management.
- Ability to forecast risks and develop practical mitigation plans.
- Hands-on, on-floor execution supervision capability with a strong safety mindset.
