Library and Knowledge Management (KM) Coordinator
Hull, Hybrid Working, 3 days on site

To assist the Head of Library and Knowledge Management in the day-to-day management of a global Knowledge Management (KM) service within a leading multinational healthcare and consumer goods company, providing library and information services to global R&D along with the wider business. This role will be particularly responsible for: monitoring the KM mailbox and answering enquiries from users, managing literature orders through the document delivery platform and ensuring minimum service standards are met, maintenance of the primary repositories, including the cataloguing of scientific literature.
Your responsibilities
This is a highly dynamic and varied role providing key capabilities for the Reckitt R&D organisation. You will assist the Head of Library and KM with management of Reckitt’s KM service, including the management of KM budgets, training, and promotion of the KM services. In addition, as the primary customer service point of contact you will manage the KM mailbox providing direct support or coordinating responses from the team. Other key activities will be managing orders for copyright-cleared publications, monitoring the self-service literature ordering platform and cataloguing of purchases into reference library repositories and databases. Finally, you will also have the opportunity to support the application of AI tools and automation to KM in a copyright compliant manner.
The experience we're looking for
- Qualification or experience in information management or a similar KM field, or commitment to achieve such.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrable awareness of trends in technology relevant to KM.
- Good accurate IT skills, including experience Office 365, online tools and platforms, and experience of data input
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt due to working in a busy cross-functional environment with changing business needs
- Proven ability to work independently delivering business priorities
Desirable
- Master’s degree qualification in librarianship / library science
- Membership of CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals), and/or ALA (American Library Association), or similar
- Presenting and training skills
