About the role

The Pilot Plant is a large area of the Science & Innovation Centre, Hull, which contains varied and complex equipment that is used by the Reckitt R&D teams to create innovative solutions for our customers. The Pilot Plant Associate is responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations in the Pilot Plant, ensuring optimal productivity and supporting CTSG and R&D teams to meet project timelines. This role maximizes the efficiency and utilization of the Pilot Plant, delivering continuous improvement and disseminating best practices throughout the Pilot Plant facility.

Your responsibilities

- Coordinate and support daily operations in the Pilot Plant to ensure smooth operations and efficiency. 

- Support manufacturing activities including material handling, equipment setup, operation and cleaning, in line with established procedures. 

- Provide technical support related to equipment, safety and procedures to maintain compliance. 

- Work closely with the H&S team to implement and continuously improve safety systems within the Pilot Plant. 

- Contribute to the qualification and commissioning of Pilot Plant equipment and processes. 

- Deliver technical training to new equipment users and offer guidance on equipment and process-related procedures. 

- Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment remains efficient and fit for purpose. 

- Collaborate effectively within a team-based environment to meet shared goals and project timelines. 

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help share best practices across the Pilot Plant. 

- Actively participate in Pilot Plant campaigns, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards. 

- Maintain cGMP compliance and audit readiness, including supporting documentation such as Change Controls, CAPAs and Deviations. 

- Stay informed on regulatory updates and industry trends and provide safety guidance to colleagues as needed. 

The experience we're looking for

- Proven track record of cGMP experience and competence in pharmaceutical and/or OTC product manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in manufacturing equipment setup, operation, and conducting CIPs.
- Extensive knowledge in packaging equipment set up, operation and maintenance processes.
- Familiar with scale up and formulation processes, technical transfer, and process optimisation.
- Aptitude for understanding and adhering to detailed manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
