About the role
Location - Hull, HU8 7DS
Our Process Improvement Leads are responsible for the execution of production process improvements and implementation of site standards. They promote and embrace a continuous improvement culture with strong behaviours within the production areas, covering People, Plant & Process. They are responsible for the development of a team to ensure capability to deliver against the business objectives and future sustainable performance.
Your responsibilities
- Responsibility for cell medium to long term performance, working collaboratively with Process Engineers and Cell Production Manager and reporting into the Site Improvement Engineer.
- Implementation and adherence to site targets and KPI’s ensuring behaviours and practices across the Factory are in line with site procedures.
- Develop cell capabilities ensuring the shift-by-shift production performance levels can be achieved. Monitoring and pro-actively dealing with performance losses through a continuous improvement approach using the Reckitt Production System, identification of top losses and trends to be addressed.
- Drive continuous improvement across the cell leading to improved KPI’s and delivering results.
- Instil the Site Vision across the Factory, linking continuous improvement behaviours with robust processes to deliver results.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to statutary and site EHS & Quality Compliance standards, ensuring behaviours and practices across the cell are in line with site procedures, taking a zero-tolerance approach to non-conformance.
- Responsible for medium to long term performance level of the cell, monitoring performance levels through measured KPI’s, developing and executing improvement plans where KPI’s are off target. Collaborating cross functionally to deliver results for the site.
- Coach and develop the continuous improvement approach & capabilities of the plant through all levels. Delivery of improvements to assigned cell by having 20% hands on approach. Being an SME of specific process's with ability to roll out change across the plant. (Centre lining, defect handling, process optimisation)
The experience we're looking for
- 5-10 years' experience in a FMCG operation.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent with 3 years' experience in manufacturing roles or HNC / HND with appropriate experience.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification and knowledge and application of UK statutory requirements
- Knowledge & application of, environmental standards within a manufacturing environment, desirable IEMA Foundation Certification
- Knowledge & application of, MHRA GMP regulatory requirements within a Healthcare manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Certification required along with knowledge & application of Continuous Improvement tools; for example Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, DMAIC, PDCA, & Gemba Walks
