About the role
Our Quality Control analysts have the technical ability to complete end-to-end finished product testing following SOPs and testing methodology. They understand the importance of GMP and when to escalate quality/compliance risks and can identify OOS/OOT results and interpret the data. They take responsibility for their own and other's safety, adhering to correct procedures, including COSHH and risk assessments.
Location: Hull, HU8 7DS
Shifts: This role will work morning shifts (6.00am - 2.00pm) and afternoon shifts (2.00pm - 10.00pm) between Monday and Friday on rotation
Your responsibilities
- Perform titrations, Karl Fischer analysis, & UV.
- Operate & calibrate pump dispensers, Hamilton dilutors, & ovens.
- Operate & calibrate Chittick apparatus.
- Reagent preparation procedures & best practices for volumetric glassware.
- Use of and calibration of pH meters, density meters, viscometers.
- Understand the role & preparation of placebos in analytical testing.
- Understand & perform organoleptic testing for product evaluation.
The experience we're looking for
- Relevant Science degree and Strong Analytical knowledge and technical background.
- Able to assess data, determine trends, atypical results and out of specification results and carry out further investigation.
- Familiarity with Quality management systems e.g. Quality one.
- Experience within the healthcare industry particularly in a practical / analytical area working to cGMP standards. (Desirable).
- Use of Chromeleon, HPLC, GC, Dissolution, Karl Fisher, Disintegration, UV, Rheometer. (Desirable).
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
