About the role
As an R&D Associate at Essential Home (EH), you will support and deliver successful projects from concept creation, technical development to launch. This is a fast paced and dynamic role to manage and implement the assigned technical aspects of projects with exposure to key stakeholders, partners and other functions within RB. In this role the ownership and leadership skills are strongly required, together with a strong technical knowledge.
Your responsibilities
- To deliver assigned projects and activities for the introduction of new development projects and enhancement of existing products in line with the defined category strategy.
- Conduct analytical chemistry testing, data processing and report generation for stability studies of products globally.
- Strong communication skills with keg stakeholders (marketing, supply, SQRC etc).
- Be able to develop comprehensive testing plans depending on the keg priorities
- Strong risk awareness / problem solving skills together with knowledge of how to overcome obstacles bg getting support from others (i.e. experts).
- Work closely with innovation and consumer science team, to ensure that projects and technologies are transferred seamlessly and supported to become successful market launches.
- To support format and understand the keg consumer needs for the support of the product innovation pipeline.
- To work on next generation products and new opportunities for existing products.
- To be accountable for liaison with appropriate technical development and supply chain personnel: to ensure completion of all activities to plan and successful handover to supply and launch to the market.
- Good understanding of the operating model.
- Ensure all paperwork and keg documentation is in placed based on the corresponding 5OPs.
- Responsible for individual team and the mentorship/coaching of R&D assistant.
The experience we're looking for
- Be able to understand the key consumer needs and turn them into viable product concepts through leveraging new or existing technologies, scientific principles or methods.
- Project management understanding to allow timeline building based on the operating model and keg business stage gates.
- Understanding of the qualification requirements of R&D validation & production success criteria.
- Ability to interpret results from lab tests through statistical analysis of testing data
- Good negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral in English and good presentation skills
- Capability to manage projects, large and small, with diligence and efficiency.
