About the role
Based within the R&D PDM structure, this is a key role to drive and embed sustainability and compliance in our portfolio, high quality data is essential for our business process to work effectively. Working with the wider R&D PDM team and cross-functional partners, the Raw Materials Governance team are focused on improving the accuracy and availability of raw material data and ensuring appropriate governance processes are in place to drive better planning and resiliency across Core Reckitt BU.
As an Assistant you will be responsible for following the Raw Material Governance Process of data collection/maintenance of our raw materials in order to deliver agreed business targets, supporting wider R&D PDM teams for centralized planned changes and inputting/ developing/defining process improvements for the full End 2 End Raw Material Governance, collaborating with other RM Team members, globally.
Your responsibilities
- The Assistantwill work with a global, often remote, team and cross-functionally to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
- Identify gaps while performing reviews and suggest resolution options with corrective action plans, collaborating effectively with wider RM and R&D PDM teams for successful implementation of the overall plans.
- Deal effectively with complexity and ambiguity when interfacing with cross-functional partners, understanding and adjusting to changing situations and problems as they arise.
- Timely escalation of issues that would impact agreed plans.
- Demonstrate quality mind with ‘Right First Time’ practice by following documented procedures and good documentation practice.
- Actively contribute to process improvements/ways of working and elevate our compliance standards.
- Be aware, accountable and follow all relevant Core Reckitt Quality Management Standards.
The experience we're looking for
- Science-based degree, with experience in an R&D or Regulatory environment, working with data systems (TDS, databases)
- Basic knowledge & understanding of Raw Materials including composition, raw material functions, systems & database
- Excellent attention to detail, accurate, with a proven ability to work under pressure without compromise
- Results oriented and self-motivated, with planning and organizational capabilities and good problem-solving skills
- Passionate and willing to embrace new challenges
- Good communication & interpersonal skills, ability to develop positive collaborative relationships
- System-savvy: broad knowledge of computerised systems, database management and reporting applications
- Strong analytical skills: aptitude to analyse and understand data in various forms, and provide both detailed and synthetic reporting
- Experience of working in FMCG or related industry, particularly with Reckitt types of products (preferred not essential).
- The business language is English, therefore fluency in English is essential and fluency in other languages is advantageous.
- Comfortable with working in a remote managed environment.
- Experience of handling data: creating database, PowerApps, PBi etc
