Your responsibilities

– Ensure safety protocols are always adhered to and contribute to a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Ensure appropriate resources, assets and time are available for the application of a systematic approach to Engineering Maintenance which uses performance indicators to routinely deliver targets and drive performance improvement. 
- All items of plant and equipment are maintained to the appropriate standards to ensure their performance is safe, reliable and in accordance with the principles of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) 
- Monitor plant operational efficiency, reliability and capability of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement. 
- Ensure that a uniform approach to maintenance is implemented across shifts. 
- Diagnose and rectify problems with manufacturing equipment and systems following an RCA approach.
- Understand the maintenance requirements in the area, and ensure that maintenance is delivered using a proactive, responsive, customer focused approach with effective application of the maintenance system and good engineering practice. 
- Ensure accurate reporting of all tasks through CMMS (SAP), and other relevant systems.
- Comply with maintenance systems and procedures, including those regarding Health and Safety, Environment and Quality assurance. · Participate in the planning and execution of training for self, other team members.
- Employ an “if down, do” philosophy, utilise natural machine down time to execute PPM’s, planned corrective tasks, and machine improvements.

The experience we're looking for

- 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or Multi Skilled technician in a GMP environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing Mechanical Systems and high-speed packaging lines.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and practices.
- Apprentice trained to NVQ level 3, HNC / HND or relevant experience.
- Demonstrable experience in FMCG, health care or similar industry.
- IT literate and ability to utilise all Microsoft programs.
