About the role
To support the Demand and supply planning manager in driving an efficient and responsive supply planning process across defined brands and categories within the Malaysia/ Singapore Nutrition business. This role ensures accurate production frequency, optimal inventory levels, and alignment with commercial and supply chain teams to deliver high service levels and minimize business loss.
Your responsibilities
Supply & Inventory Planning
- Ensure timely communication of agreed forecasts to suppliers/intercompany sources via systems like Excel SNP or Rapid Response (Kinaxis)
- Plan replenishment to maintain service levels and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Manage inventory levels within budget and forecast parameters, ensuring minimal waste during product relaunches or promotions.
- Ownership of end-to-end replenishment process from net requirement planning to purchase orders, shipment from factories, warehouse put away until stock available for sales.
- Monitor and collaborate with local forwarding agent to ensure shipment clearance on time.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Generate forecasts by reviewing historical trends, promotion calendar, and activities available from commercial team;
- Drive discussion in meetings with commercial team within the S&OP process to produce unbiased forecast, gap identification or closure with sound facts and communicate supply constraints or business risks;
- Challenge forecast assumptions using trend analysis, MAPE, BIAS, and promotional/media phasing data.
Promotional & Packaging Planning
- Coordinate with third-party embellishment teams for reworking promotional products.
- Plan packaging material requirements to ensure timely availability in correct quantities.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and publish monthly reports (Production Accuracy, inventory, Slob report)
- Provide forecasted volumes to Finance for business planning and budgeting.
- Communicate supply constraints and risks proactively to ensure business alignment and timely resolution.
- Master data accuracy for planned materials in system
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with commercial, finance, supply, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of plans.
- Support business-related planning tasks as required by the Head of Planning.
The experience we're looking for
- University degree related to the field of Supply Chain, Business Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply/demand planning and determine priorities in a highly pressured working environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge on SAP APO, SNP, Kinaxis is an added advantage
- Highly analytical and fact-based decision making
- Good interpersonal skills and strong command of both written and spoken English
