About the role
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to day operation of the logistics operations for a country, actively supporting the objectives of the Supply Organization. You will manage 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers (3PL) on an ongoing basis. Working with the wider Supply team, you will implement solutions that optimize performance to deliver an efficient on time in full service to our customer’s distribution centers.
Measurement of performance will be in the form of cost and service deliverables. The role also involves a significant component of project management that will be key in delivering cost and service improvement initiatives.
In terms of financials, the incumbent will be the fully accountable for the preparation and management of the complete FG logistics budget spanning from Imports through to final delivery to customers.
Your responsibilities
- Manages 3rd party business arrangements for the warehousing, inbound and outbound freight operations in the geography. \
- Responsibility for cost management (costs within budget) in Freight In, Freight Out and Warehouse, ensuring Reckitt is paying its Logistics providers on time for correct volumes.
- Project & manage key events such as volume planning (for either seasonal demand or period end targets) and co-ordination with Demand/Supply Planning Team to ensure smooth flow of goods movement.
- Ensures Reckitt’s 3PL are set up for successful delivery with cost to serve reviewed to ensure KPI’s are met.
- Manages and identify transport optimization opportunities, maximizing flexibility at the lowest cost whilst ensuring service.
- Ensure full SHEQ adherence in warehousing and transport space in terms of managing DG Goods, GDP and GDPMD.
- Ensures all requirements are meet for the HRRB, Quality Program / Health, Safety and Environment so that Reckitt maintains its ISO accreditations.
- Ensuring monthly Write Off process and witnessing of disposals in accordance to approved SOPs.
- Set Monthly 3PL and Customs brokerage KPI review, this to improve their service level.
- Ensures all processes internal/external between Logistics and interfaced parties are documented with Process Flows.
- Continuous engagement with Demand and Supply Planning Team to ensure flow of shipments and stocks made available for sale as per intended plan.
- Management of Inventory (ageing and SLOB) on a continuous basis to meet CIV KPI.
The experience we're looking for

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, statistical science, or Operations Management or its equivalent.

Minimum 1-2 years’ working experience in Logistics and Warehouse Operations determine priorities in a highly pressured working environment, self-motivated, logical, and fully conversant with the whole procedures.

Experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, S&OP or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Knowledge in SAP OTC and PTD modules, MS Office (especially in MS Excel).

Has good interpersonal skills and strong command of both written and spoken English.
