About the role
We are seeking a highly driven and commercially astute Sales Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Malaysia. This is a critical leadership role that partners closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Senior Management to drive profitable growth, improve commercial decision-making, and strengthen governance across trade investment activities. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, robust commercial support, and end-to-end ownership of trade spend effectiveness while driving system efficiencies and strong financial controls.
Your responsibilities
• Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to drive profitable growth and optimize customer investments.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, and performance reviews for Trade spends.
• Provide insightful analysis of sales performance, profitability, pricing, and customer returns.
• Own trade spend governance, controls, rebate management, and promotional investment effectiveness.
• Conduct pre-event and post-event ROI analysis and provide recommendations.
• Drive process simplification, automation, and system efficiency initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects and influence business decisions through data-driven insights.
• Build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance stakeholders.
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Partnering.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Strong experience in trade spend management, financial analysis, forecasting, and profitability management.
• Experience driving governance, controls, process improvements, and system efficiencies.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP, BW, BPC, or BI tools experience preferred.
