About the role
We are seeking an intellectually curious and commercially minded intern to join our marketing team at the intersection of social media, consumer behaviour and brand strategy.
This is not a conventional internship centred on administrative support. The successful candidate will investigate how leading brands compete for attention, influence culture and shape consumer preference across rapidly evolving digital platforms. Your work will inform real marketing decisions, content strategies and campaign development across a portfolio of established consumer brands. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigour with cultural awareness—someone who can recognise emerging behaviours, interrogate why content succeeds and translate observations into clear strategic recommendations.
Your responsibilities
Competitive Intelligence
• Develop a structured framework for monitoring competitors across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Analyse competitors’ brand positioning, content strategy, creative territories, campaign activity, product communication and influencer partnerships.
• Evaluate how competitors respond to consumer trends, cultural moments and changes in platform behaviour.
• Identify strategic gaps, emerging threats and opportunities for meaningful brand differentiation.
• Build and maintain a central intelligence repository of notable campaigns, creative executions and market developments.
Social and Cultural Intelligence
• Monitor emerging conversations, communities, creators, behaviours, content formats and cultural shifts relevant to our brands.
• Distinguish enduring behavioural changes from short-lived trends and platform noise.
• Investigate the underlying factors driving audience engagement, participation and sentiment.
• Translate cultural observations into commercially relevant implications for brand and content strategy.
• Identify opportunities for brands to participate credibly and meaningfully in emerging conversations.
Strategic Analysis and Reporting
• Produce concise weekly intelligence updates and comprehensive monthly competitive reviews.
• Transform large volumes of social media activity into clear findings, strategic implications and recommended actions.
• Develop benchmarking frameworks to evaluate brand activity against competitors and category leaders.
• Present insights through well-structured narratives, executive summaries and visually compelling presentations.
• Contribute perspectives and recommendations during campaign planning and strategic discussions.
Content and Campaign Development
• Support the development of social media strategies, campaign territories and annual content plans.
• Conduct research to strengthen creative briefs and strategic proposals.
• Identify relevant creators, communities and potential influencer partnerships.
• Participate in campaign ideation sessions and challenge assumptions with evidence-based perspectives.
• Support post-campaign analysis by identifying key learnings and opportunities for improvement.

• The ability to identify patterns, challenge assumptions and develop original perspectives.
• Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
• A sophisticated understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and the wider digital landscape.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• The ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and take ownership of deliverables.
• High standards of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
• Sound commercial judgement and an appreciation of how insights can influence business performance.
