About the role
The Supply Planner manages the end-to-end planning, material scheduling, and production execution of promotional and customized product lines. This includes seasonal gift sets, multi-packs, and always on bundling. Operating in a high-velocity FMCG environment, to bridge the gap between Commercial Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) co-packers to ensure on-time delivery for retail launches while minimizing inventory write-offs.
Your responsibilities
Promotional & Co-Packing Execution
- Master Production Scheduling: Design and maintain rigid co-packing schedules to meet highly strict retail launch dates and promotional windows.
- Capacity Management: Evaluate 3PL co-packer capacities against commercial demand to identify bottlenecks and negotiate production slots.
- Component Synchronization: Coordinate the simultaneous arrival of base products (e.g., standard stock) and unique promotional packaging (e.g., corrugate displays, shrink sleeves, ribbons).
Material & Inventory Optimization
- MRP Management: Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for all unique packaging, labels, and promotional materials, and purchase based on desired inventory level requirements.
- Disposal & Excess Mitigation: Track and manage the short life-cycle risk of promotional inventory to minimize obsolete stock and write-off costs post-campaign.
- Stock Balancing: Reconcile stock levels weekly between the company's internal ERP system and the 3PL co-packer’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Cost Management
- Quotation: Supporting commercial marketing on recommended embellishment processes and quotation.
- Co-packer Invoicing: Monthly review and validate on co-packers invoicing, raise concerns for justification and rejection if outside the quotation / budget unjustified.
- Periodical Assessment: Monthly cost tracking against business budget, and quarterly cost projection on annual expenditure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Commercial Alignment: Partner with Brand Managers and Trade Marketing during the Stage-Gate / Innovation process to evaluate the operational feasibility and lead times of new promotional concepts.
- S&OP Contribution: Provide crucial visibility on promotional stock readiness during Supply Review meeting and daily outlook.
- Finance Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation with finance team on expenditure.
The experience we're looking for
• University degree related to the field of Supply Chain or Engineering
• 2+ years in production planning, material planning, or co-pack operations within a fast-paced FMCG or consumer goods environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP PP/MM module and Kinaxis preferred) and advanced MS Excel capabilities (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
• Customer centric and with strong customer service mindset
• Highly analytical and fact-based decision making
• Able to work independently, think logically, challenge status quo, and consistently seek to improve current way of working to seek productivity
• Exceptional agility to handle sudden demand spikes, strong negotiation skills with external vendors, and a high attention to detail.
