About the role
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Media Manager – Traditional Media to lead Reckitt’s traditional media strategy across Malaysia and Singapore. This role is responsible for developing and executing effective media plans across TV, radio, out-of-home (OOH), cinema, and print — ensuring every campaign delivers impact, reach, and value for our brands. As the lead for traditional media within our Integrated Marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with media agencies, brand teams, and customer development teams to deliver integrated and performance-led media activations. You’ll bring deep market knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and commercial discipline to every media decision.
Your responsibilities
Media Strategy & Planning
• Develop market-specific traditional media strategies that support brand objectives and business priorities across Reckitt’s portfolio.
• Lead the end-to-end annual media planning process, including budgeting, GRP allocation, and flighting strategies across all key channels.
• Ensure Reckitt’s media investments are grounded in local media behaviour, data-driven insights, and audience targeting principles.
Campaign Execution & Optimization
• Oversee day-to-day execution of traditional media campaigns through Reckitt’s appointed media agency.
• Ensure flawless campaign implementation, cost control, and delivery against KPIs such as reach, frequency, and share of voice.
• Partner with media analytics teams to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities to optimize spend and performance.
Agency & Partner Management
• Serve as the lead Reckitt contact for traditional media with media agency partners in both Malaysia and Singapore.
• Drive agency performance through clear KPIs, regular evaluations, and collaborative planning.
• Negotiate competitive media rates and added-value opportunities across key vendors and platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the digital media team to deliver integrated campaigns across ATL and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with brand, shopper, and customer marketing teams to tailor media executions for in-market needs.
• Support commercial and retail teams with traditional media solutions that drive conversion at scale.
Governance & Reporting
• Maintain full visibility and control of traditional media budgets, ensuring transparency and ROI discipline.
• Track and report on media performance, media mix efficiency, and post-campaign learnings.
• Stay ahead of media trends, consumption shifts, and emerging opportunities in traditional media.
The experience we're looking for
• At least 6 years of media experience, ideally in FMCG, agency, or media-owner environments.
• Strong expertise in planning and buying TV, radio, OOH, cinema, and print across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Proven experience managing media agencies and complex campaign portfolios.
• Deep understanding of market-level audience measurement tools (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, GfK) and media analytics.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A self-starter with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
