About the role

Step into the position of Head of Manufacturing - Nigeria at Reckitt and lead our manufacturing operations into a future defined by excellence and innovation. Responsible for the manufacturing and maintenance operations of the site, assuring attainment of financial objectives and production schedules.
Maximizing the capabilities of site assets to deliver a diverse product range, on time and in full and delivering high quality products in compliance with group manufacturing & safety standards

Your responsibilities

  • Establish policy, organizational structure, staff and procedures in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide overall direction, vision, leadership, and cross-function coordination of supply activities and processes for Manufacturing site and 3rd party manufacturers.
  • Represent Supply in the management committee of Reckitt Nigeria to ensure supply alignment with company goals and strategies and to manage cooperative relationships across business functions.
  • Lead continuous improvement and best practice initiatives.
  • Lead engineering department as it relates to supply chain systems and processes.
  • Establish and monitor department goals and objectives in line with company objectives.
  • Deliver capital expenditure on time & in budget. Manages spending against budget in relation to changes in production volume.
  • Ensure the implementation of the company EHS policies.
  • Dotted line management of all support function of procurement, Quality, R&D and packaging in Nigeria
  • Ensure compliance with all organization and regulatory policies, standards, and practices.
  • Monitor the work performance of team members and make personal development plans to improve their competency.
  • Builds & maintain continuous improvement culture within the site. Ensures global standards and compliance are managed through effective planning and implementation of site wide strategy. (Site Master Plan)
  • Drive cost delivery, inventory and service levels in line with set targets and implement remedial actions when necessary
  • Ensure strict adherence with Quality Management System(s).
  • Ensure compliance & contribute to upkeep and improvement of Health, Safety & Environmental corporate policy/procedures & applicable legal requirements.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum   of   10   years’  broad-based supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment to include:
    • Production & inventory control
    • Purchasing
    • Distribution / Shipping / 3PL to multiple customer and company sites
    • Significant  experience implementing and/or upgrading MRP/DRP/SAP/ERP systems
    • Multiple plant experience in a make to stock environment
  • An understanding of business beyond core functional expertise required.
  • A university degree in Engineering, Operations management, etc.  A degree in Business Administration would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and drive complex situations and project to the desired outcome.
  • Capability to work across all functions and levels of management.
  • Able to work autonomously in a matrix-managed organization.
  • A track record of fostering outstanding teams and boosting performance through empowerment and development.
  • Creative problem-solving skills coupled with a results-oriented mindset and a strong ethical compass.
