Your responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end import logistics from origin to destination.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Ensure complete and accurate import documentation and duty/tariff computations.
- Handle operational issues such as customs holds, discrepancies, and shipment delays.
- Oversee daily shipment status updates and maintain import monitoring records.
- Manage routing and approval of duties/taxes payments and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariff classification, and import laws.
- Control import‑related costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
- Use ERP and analytics tools (SAP, Oracle, Excel, Power BI) for transactions, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, providing timely shipment updates.
- Validate, process, and resolve freight forwarder and broker billings and invoices.
- Prepare and submit financial, import, insurance, and audit‑related documents and reports.Identify operational risks, implement mitigation plans, and support process improvements.
- Support digital transformation, automation initiatives, and perform additional assigned tasks.
The experience we're looking for
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration or related field
- With in-depth understanding on Importation and Exportation process and requirements (Air and Sea)
- Knowledgeable of duties and taxes computation and basic costing; import and export procedures and basic customs regulation and processing procedure
- At least 3 years experienced handling import exportation lead role, including filing and managing of claims
- Highly proficient in the use and application of MS Excel, Power point and other data base software
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Deep understanding of:
- Import documentation and customs clearance processes
- Incoterms and international shipping practices
- Tariff classification and duty computation
- Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Software & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, OTM, or equivalent)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with TMS/WMS systems
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and drive data-backed decisions
- Strong reporting and dashboarding capability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FMCG or highly regulated industries
- Exposure to digital transformation or automation projects in logistics
- Certification in supply chain (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is an advantage
