About the role
Seeking a leadership opportunity where you can mould the future of manufacturing? As a Coordinator at Reckitt, you'll be in the driver's seat, nurturing a team of dedicated factory employees. You will coordinate all the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) related work at the site and ensure that all the processes are followed with respect to the Global Reckitt EHS Standards, local regulations and site safety procedures.
Your responsibilities
- To ensure that all the EHS records are properly maintained.
- Supporting role to the factory management on site performance and areas of focus, based on analysis as well as legal and global requirements.
- To conduct EHS related trainings at the site.
- To ensure EHS performance is timely reported.
- Increase the involvement of site top leadership, management and ‘workforce in safety, through a robust system of Behavior Safety program.
- To ensure internal audit / planned inspections are done within time.
- Maintain safety discipline at the site according to the disciplinary procedure of the Reckitt Bahrain site.
- To ensure that all the legal requirements are being met
- To ensure that Reckitt EHS standards are implemented at the site.
- To ensure Reckitt process safety standard are implemented at the site
- To ensure incidents are reported and investigated timely.
- Preparation for all emergency situations through effective risk assessment based emergency preparedness, management and mitigation program involving frequent mock drills and emergency handling equipment.
- Increasing and encouraging the no. of ‘Near Miss’ reporting to reduce the probability of incidents through effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Robust EHS risk assessment process driven through structured THA and HRN methodology involving all employees at site.
- EHS parameter monitoring.
- To ensure that materials are disposed in an environment friendly manner.
- Do all other job-related tasks ordered by Line Manager.
The experience we're looking for
- University Degree (preferably in Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Training on EHS Standards & Process Safety Standards
- NEBOSH IGC Certified (to obtain if not certified already)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar capacity, ideally from within the FMCG industry
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize work and resources appropriate to requirements
- Demonstrate effective leadership qualities, ability to self-motivate and motivate others
- Ability to achieve set goals and targets
- Demonstrate a proactive approach
