The Digital Trading Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing our digital media trading operations across campaign activation planning & buying in-platform. As the senior lead in-market, you will be responsible for ensuring that all campaigns activated in-platform follow Reckitt’s media governance processes & agreed ways of working. 

 

Acting as the in-market point of escalation for the Eastern Europe Consumer Engagement team – the Digital Trading Lead helps to facilitate the resolution of performance concerns, handling queries, improving team processes & managing expectations in-market to ensure key deliverables are met. You will be responsible for managing the overall workload of the team, helping to assign campaigns to digital traders & identifying where additional resources will be needed to support. 

About the role

The Applied Media Science (AMS) team works closely with both external partners & internal teams to ensure Reckitt’s campaigns are activated with excellence in-platform. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Trading – you will be responsible for managing a team of Digital Media Managers, helping to streamline key processes across activation planning, whilst facilitating the sharing & embedding of platform best practices across our operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning & execution of digital media buying across the Brand Pods
  • Be the in-market escalation point for Consumer Engagement team – assisting in managing expectations & enforcing the agreed scope/deliverables of the team
  • Operationalize & scale channel best practices developed by the Digital Media Managers
  • Promote a unified approach to campaign planning, activation & optimization
  • Ensure all media trading activities comply with industry regulations & ethical standards
  • Manage the team quarterly finance cross-charges and handle ongoing invoice queries
  • Promote key campaign learnings, presenting media case studies to the wider team
  • Deploy key Reckitt tools & Global DDM Programs across the AMS campaign workflow
  • Assign campaigns to the Digital Associates to activate in-platform, helping to coordinate & distribute workload across the team
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation & continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Support the Head of Trading in the standup and ongoing improvement of the model.

The experience we're looking for

  • Educational & Professional Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field with 6+ years in digital media buying/planning, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
  • Digital Media Expertise: Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem, biddable platforms, and proficiency in tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, foster collaboration, and deliver business results while managing-up and setting clear expectations.
  • Strategic Process Improvement: Experience in developing, implementing, and scaling process improvements across media workflows to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Skilled in presenting to senior stakeholders with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; fluent in French and English required.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Highly organized, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize, navigate ambiguity, and maintain focus on key deliverables.
