Senior Trade Marketing Manager

Our Sales teams help to deliver Reckitt's purpose by building shared success with our customers, making access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment possible in-stores and online. Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This focus results in a dynamic, fast paced environment where cross functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success. We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

You will oversee sales strategy & sales forecasts, proposing and directing the execution of programs to maximize sales volume potential to achieve Plan.  Will include support of several key Customers across select Categories.  It is also a proven discipline and has developed senior leaders across the business.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Develop Local Success Model (LSM) and validate 4P Success Model by identifying winning strategies on Pricing, Promotion, Placement and Presence (PICoS) for all classes of trade, based on category growth platform & global 4P strategy
  • Oversee trade spend budget and define category trade marketing KPIs
  • Identify trade needs / opportunities, develop pricing and distribution strategies in line with trade promotions for brands
  • Develop strategies to improve/maximize Trade Investment ROI by completing promotion analysis and validate against expected results
  • Translate brand marketing actions into customer marketing actions
  • Contribute to category marketing plans with customer & category analysis and promotional strategy; key contact for brand marketing teams
  • Continuous analysis of customer position, working together with Key Account Managers to recommend in-store action aimed at strengthening Reckitt's position within categories
  • Implement category strategies and vision across customers; lead and support the implementing of Reckitt promotional strategy across customers, in line with brand priorities and media plans
  • Perform ongoing ROI analysis across a broad range of activities to guide effective commercial outcomes and support trade spend optimization objectives.
  • Conduct intensive Financial Modelling to support decision process e.g. Ranging, Promotion.
  • Develop ‘Go to Market” strategies for all category reviews with major retailers.
  • Contribute to forecast accuracy via timely and accurate input into forecasting process.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-years Direct Sales and/or Marketing experience, with cross functional exposure to other Business Operations
  • Good understanding of Customer Management Process
  • Proven analytical skills; strong financial skills and P&L understanding
  • Strong commercial awareness 
  • Entrepreneurial 
  • Strong sense of urgency and achievement 
  • Resilient and able to respond under pressure 
  • Ability to influence 
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data, A&Us)
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, Nielsen/IRI)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
