About the role
The Digital Trading Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing our digital media trading operations across campaign activation planning & buying in-platform. As the senior lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that all campaigns activated in-platform follow Reckitt’s media governance processes & agreed ways of working.
Acting as the primary operational lead for activation within Applied Media Science (AMS) – the Digital Trading Lead oversees the executional output delivered through our activation model and external partners. The focus is on operational excellence, delivery quality, and consistency at scale across markets, ensuring all activity aligns with Reckitt’s global media governance standards and agreed ways of working.
You will be responsible for managing the overall workload of the team, helping to assign campaigns to digital traders & identifying where additional resources will be needed to support.
The Team:
The Applied Media Science (AMS) team works closely with both external partners & internal teams to ensure Reckitt’s campaigns are activated with excellence in-platform.
Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Trading – you will be responsible for managing a team of Associate Digital Media Managers, streamlining activation processes while embedding platform best practices across AMS operations.
Your responsibilities
• Oversee the execution of digital media buying across AMS
• Act as the primary operational escalation point for AMS activation, addressing delivery risks, performance concerns, platform challenges, and scope clarification.
• Promote a unified approach to campaign planning, activation & optimization
• Ensure all media trading activities comply with industry regulations & ethical standards
• Manage relationships with activation and trading partners, holding them accountable for delivery quality, timelines, and agreed outputs.
• Champion and scale automation within biddable platforms, partnering with internal and external teams to improve efficiency, consistency, and delivery quality
• Deploy key Reckitt tools & Global DDMM Programs across the AMS campaign workflow
• Assign campaigns to the Digital Associates to activate in-platform, helping to coordinate & distribute workload across the team
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation & continuous improvement
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Support the Head of Trading in the development of content for business QBRs
• Lead ongoing platform upskilling across the AMS activation team, ensuring the latest best practices and platform updates are consistently adopted.
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in digital media buying/planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem & operating biddable platforms with hands on experience.
• Experience working & presenting to senior stakeholders
• Proven experience driving process improvement, operational scale, or automation initiatives in the digital environment.
• Having worked on key projects/tasks that involved developing, implementing & scaling process improvements across media workflows
