About the role
As a Regulatory Senior Associate at Reckitt, your regulatory expertise becomes a pivotal part of our business's success. This role will be based in our Nijmegen office on a hybrid model.
Your responsibilities
- Stays abreast, communicates and evaluates potential impact of regulatory changes with regards to food safety, food packaging, food contact materials, pesticides, contaminants, micro, GMO and regulatory import requirements.
- Supports the execution of EU regulatory strategy in support of the EU business goals and brand plans, linked to the overall global and regional strategy and executes accordingly.
- Serves as a Business Partner by translating regulatory trends and requirements into business growth opportunities and establishing and maintaining proactive communication and constructive rapport with key partners across the organization to streamline processes and maximize innovation efforts.
- Leads and drives the development of regional Regulatory processes and procedures (e.g SOPs, Work Instructions, Best practices etc) to ensure compliance by design of regulatory operations in Europe.
- Provides regulatory support to the supply chain (e.g. support in certificates, raw material approval, regulatory statements, meetings with controlling authorities, Regulatory import/export possibilities).
- Supports shaping of the regional regulatory environment through participation in regional professional/trade associations and advocates the Reckitt position(s).
- Provides regulatory support to the QA department, global food safety, global communication and global auditing on EU regulatory compliance, food safety regulations and upcoming issues.
The experience we're looking for
- Fluent in English language; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
- 3+ years of work experience in Regulatory Affairs / food industry. Infant and Young Children Nutrition is a plus.
- Up to date knowledge of European food regulatory requirements and a good understanding of the EU legislative process. Understanding of product development and manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Good understanding of the regulatory and political environment influencing the infant and young children nutrition industry.
- Strong communication skills particularly the ability to take complex regulatory and scientific topics and communicate the relevant and essential points to a varied audience – scientific and non-scientific colleague.
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, and alignment and building skills.
- Experience contributing to cross-functional/multi-disciplined teams operating in a dynamic, outcome-oriented environment.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse workplace, through international projects or global teams.
- Strong in planning, problem solving, and project and time management. Able to deliver value-added business results that meet high quality requirements within tight deadline and with attention to detail.
