About the role

As a Digital Transformation Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of driving digital transformation within our manufacturing site. Based at our Nottingham Factory, this role is all about turning ideas into impactful solutions, managing end-to-end projects and ensuring the successful deployment, adoption, and optimisation of cutting-edge digital tools, systems, and processes. You’ll collaborate closely with operational teams and our central digital/IT function to translate business needs into practical, technology-enabled solutions that boost productivity, enhance quality, and strengthen safety and sustainability. Your responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for local digital initiatives. Drive the site’s digital roadmap and support future growth opportunities.
  • Champion operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles.
  • Act as a digital ambassador, collaborating across all functions.
  • Promote a culture of digital literacy and data-driven decision-making.
  • Use analytics to deliver insights that improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise resources.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies and best practices for manufacturing operations. 

The experience we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean/Continuous Improvement principles, and IoT.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing digital solutions in an operational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Change management and training facilitation skills.
  • Project management capability with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

The skills for success

  • Experience in manufacturing operations, process engineering, or digital transformation roles.
  • Hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, ERP systems, or IoT platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation, robotics, and predictive analytics preferred.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards in manufacturing environments is an advantage.
