About the role
You will lead and take responsibility across the Reckitt Nottingham Supply Site for Electrical Engineering, covering electrical strategies, legal compliance, business continuity and strategic development of electrical systems. Through the Reckitt Leadership Behaviours, lead, support & coach the System Engineers & Electrical competent persons covering Site Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Project Engineering against functional Key Performance Indicators which contribute to the overall site performance. Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and projects both within the department and cross functionally to ensure the performance of site with regards to electrical compliance, standards and systems.

Your responsibilities

Lead and inspire a high-performing electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, coaching, succession planning, and continuous professional development while role-modelling Reckitt Leadership Behaviours.

Develop site-wide electrical capability and competence, ensuring robust training programmes are in place to meet legal requirements, support engineer development, and strengthen overall site expertise.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to electrical and control systems engineers, building capability, sharing best practice, and supporting long-term talent development across the site.

Act as the Site Electrical Duty Holder, ensuring electrical systems and activities remain fully compliant with all relevant legislation, including the Electricity at Work Regulations, alongside Reckitt's global engineering, safety, and environmental standards.

Own and maintain site electrical governance frameworks, including electrical standards, specifications, user requirement standards (URS), and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational excellence.

Lead site electrical safety and risk management programmes, including DSEAR/CompEx assessments, action plans, training initiatives, FM Global review activities, and the implementation of corrective actions to minimise business risk.

Drive the long-term electrical infrastructure strategy, overseeing electrical distribution systems across the campus, addressing compliance, reliability, obsolescence, resilience, and energy management requirements.

Ensure maximum reliability and availability of electrical systems, supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations through effective maintenance strategies, business continuity planning, contingency management, and asset lifecycle management.

Support major capital and strategic projects, providing expert electrical engineering guidance, technical governance, and project assurance to ensure successful delivery of site investment programmes.

Manage electrical engineering budgets, procurement, and contractor performance, while working cross-functionally to improve energy efficiency, support sustainability objectives, optimise costs, and deliver departmental and site performance targets across safety, service, environment, and cost.
The experience we're looking for
- Electricity at work regulations
- Safe isolation procedures
- Permit to work systems
- Electrical maintenance and compliance
- Recognised Time served Electrical Apprentice with an HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a degree in Electrical Engineering
>5 years in industrial/manufacturing electrical engineering with experience of:-
- LV/HV distribution systems
- Motors, drives and control systems
- Utilities and energy management
- Electrical compliance audits
- Reliability and asset management
>2 years’ experience acting as the site's electrical duty holder
- Senior Authorised Person (AP) LV qualification
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) HV qualification or experience where HV networks exist
>2 years’ Experience of delivering capital projects and energy reduction programmes.
