Join Reckitt’s Global Engineering Team and take ownership of developing and deploying global asset standards for secondary packaging equipment (cartoners, bundlers, labellers, sleevers). This role plays a key part in driving efficiency, standardization, and innovation across all manufacturing sites worldwide.
About the role
You will act as a technical expert (SME), supporting standardization, cost optimisation, and CAPEX project execution across Reckitt’s global manufacturing network. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and implement global standards for secondary packaging equipment.
- Drive standardisation of equipment and vendor base to improve cost, lead time, and efficiency.
- Define technical specifications (URS) and collaborate with OEMs.
- Support and lead CAPEX projects (~50% of time), including vendor selection, FAT/SAT, and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Build and manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, R&D, Quality, Procurement, IT).
- Act as a go-to technical expert for packaging technologies.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or similar) or equivalent Technical experience and knowledge.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including CAPEX projects.
- Experience working in global/matrix organisations.
- Strong expertise in secondary packaging technologies.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Project and vendor management experience.
- Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Results-driven and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
