About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement professional to join the North America External Manufacturing Operations team, leading sourcing strategies across our Health copack network, including portfolios such as softgels, suspensions, pads, ointments, and bulk products.

 

You will work closely with external manufacturers supporting key brands such as Mucinex, Delsym, and Clearasil; leading supplier discussions, proactively resolving challenges, and driving improvements in cost, quality, and service. This role goes beyond supplier management and requires strong ownership, strategic thinking, and initiative to continuously elevate portfolio performance.

 

This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement.

Your responsibilities

  • Supplier & Portfolio Management: Manage external manufacturers, drive performance across cost, quality, and service, and lead negotiations, contract terms, and ongoing business reviews.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Execution: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, translate business needs into decisions, and lead end-to-end procurement projects (RFQs, negotiations, contracts).
  • Financial Ownership & Cost Optimization: Own budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio performance; drive cost savings through benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and NWC improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner across R&D, Quality, Supply, Finance, and other functions to deliver projects, support product launches, and influence outcomes in complex environments.
  • Innovation, Risk & Compliance: Enhance supply resilience and innovation through supplier insights and benchmarking while managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading supplier selection.

The experience we're looking for

  • Experience & Education: 5+ years in strategic procurement (ideally external manufacturing or regulated industries); Bachelor’s required, Master’s a plus.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate business priorities into sourcing strategies that drive portfolio performance.
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Strong track record managing strategic suppliers, leading complex negotiations, and developing high-value contracts.
  • Financial & Analytical Expertise: Deep understanding of cost structures (BOMs), with strong budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Leadership, Digital & Communication Skills: Experience leading cross-functional projects; advanced in Excel, Power BI, and systems (e.g., SAP/Ariba); strong stakeholder influence and communication in complex environments.

US salary ranges

USD $100,000.00 -  $150,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
