About the role

  • The Senior Category Supply Manager will run strategic base business sourcing assessments.
  • They will ensure suitable and sufficient site Business Continuity Plans are in place for Category Powerbands, minimising NR exposure and / or risk.
  • They will make business recommendations of product sourcing changes from Factory A to Factory B, either Internally (Reckitt) or externally (EMO).
  • The Senior Category Supply Manager will be key point of contact for the Commercial VP of the Category and together with relevant Category Supply Manager(s), they will define innovation sourcing strategies.
  • They will support the co-ordination of long-term volume data to ensure robust Category RCCPs to feed and justify annual Strat Plan submission, which creates the blueprint for our longer term supply strategy.  
  • They will provide data analytics to support Supply Leadership in the decision-making process.
  • They work on sourcing projects until formally approved, at which point they are typically handed over to the receiving sites (either internal or external).
  • They will support network decomplexity projects, working closely with R&D, Procurement, Technical and CGO to optimise our Category manufacturing footprint.

Your responsibilities

  • Leads base business sourcing assessments, co-ordinating activities cross-functionally to compare sourcing options, preliminary COGs, CAPEX and timelines.
  • Ensure existing internal manufacturing capabilities are maximised, reducing EMO complexity.
  • Ensure key stakeholders have clear visibility of sourcing projects and key Supply milestones are delivered on-time.
  • Will establish, maintain and evolve sourcing study governance with cross-functional involvement.
  • Supports supply inputs into key innovation documents: Innovation Intention to Explore (I2E), Innovation Development Brief (IDB), Innovation Commitment (IC) and Launch Recommendations (LR).
  • Will support the maintenance of supply category trackers and other project reports and tools as assigned in line with Category Team Cadence.
  • Co-ordinates long term volume data so that Category RCCPs can be updated accordingly and support the Strategic Plan for their relevant categories.
  • Support sites with Category insights to enable site masterplan discussions dove tail with the longer-term Category Strat Plan.  

The experience we're looking for

  • Degree in science or engineering with a manufacturing background.
  • 5-10 years Pharmaceuticals and/or FMCG industry project management experience with a focus in manufacturing.
  • The business language in Reckitt Benckiser is English; therefore, fluency in English is essential
  • Has experience leading large scale strategic projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to review data, present findings and make business decisions around that data.
  • Must have proven track record in project management. Insuring timelines and key project milestones are delivered on-time.
  • Must have a track record of success in improving supply chain processes and systems.
  • Has a strong understanding of our innovation processes and previous exposure to cross-functional departments.
  • Be a proven team player with ability to work cross functionally.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to work independently and make decisions with a strong “voice” where required.
  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment, often handling multiple projects at the same time
  • Proven track record of working as part of a cross functional team, Excellent understanding of multiple disciplines including Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Strong organisational skills. Confident in interacting and influencing senior stakeholders on a frequent basis.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of end-to-end supply chains of FMCG or Pharmaceuticals.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • First Class analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • A natural problem solver that draws inspiration from cross functional teams & personal experiences to find collaborative solutions.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that are aligned to the Reckitt Leadership Charter and Core Values.
  • Will be achievement focussed and able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment.
  • Ability to work to stretched targets with a willingness to take ownership and lead projects.
  • Ability to interact with people from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel to key manufacturing sites as and when required.

Travel

Up to 25% with some international travel.

US salary ranges

USD $161,000.00 -  $241,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
