About the role
As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for developing sales forecasts for key brands to arrive at a business consensus with the commercial business and the supply organization, and for maintaining customer service and inventory control in finished goods with a focus on delivering total customer service satisfaction and net working capital targets.
Forecasts will be established by analyzing and evaluating the combination of consumer and customer trade promotions, run rates, trends, & seasonality, using demand planning software and judgmental inputs to achieve business alignment.
In addition to this, the Demand Planner will attend team meetings with the sales and customer service to ensure smooth start-up of new launches and projects.
This role will focus on our export business and building forecast with sales team for the export market across all brands, drive consensus and maintain best forecast in system. Apart from this – will also support team around event planning, Amazon and running deep analytics for the brands.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
Your responsibilities
- Direct responsibility for the management of a consensus enterprise forecast for assigned brands and business units.
- Coordination of monthly demand planning meetings with Sales, Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Manufacturing.
- Analysis of customer acceptance information and market penetration estimates to develop forecasts for new product introductions, identifying high side and low side risk to these estimates.
- Thorough management of Excess and Obsolete stock
- The joint development of inventory strategies with Manufacturing, using accuracy statistics, forecast variability, and estimated risk to forecast projections.
- Evaluation of consumer and trade promotion activities to establish meaningful projections of future promotions.
- Work closely with export sales team to maintain forecast by item by location – drive alignment and maintain in system
- Ensure proper visibility of big sales event and provide analytics and visibility support to ensure flawless execution (Prime day, MVM etc)
- Contribution to the implementation of processes and systems tools to develop a customer demand driven demand-planning process.
The experience we're looking for
- Must have a BS degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business or another related discipline
- 2+ years in a demand planning or similar supply chain role.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work experience within the fast-moving consumer goods industry is preferred
- Must have proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must have solid working knowledge using an MRP system (Kinaxis strongly preferred)
- Must have strong computer skills, especially using excel with ability to create spreadsheets and perform advanced formulas and functions
- Pro-activeness /self-learner
- Team player - involves working with different departments
- Data-driven & hands-on approach when necessary. Effective leadership skills to be able to drive projects to completion
- Excellent communication skills

US salary ranges
USD $78,000.00 - $118,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
