About the role
The Director of Analytics will be a strategic leader responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across a significant business unit or function within North America Reckitt. This role will lead a team of talented people, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business questions, develop robust analytical frameworks, and deliver actionable insights that drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of leveraging analytics to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
Your responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the analytics strategy for the assigned business unit or function, aligning with overall business objectives and priorities. Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics techniques to unlock new insights and drive innovation.
• Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable analytics projects. Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical Framework Development: Design and implement robust analytical frameworks, methodologies, and data models to address key business questions. Oversee the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide clear and concise insights.
• Advanced Analytics Application: Drive the adoption and application of advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, machine learning, segmentation, and optimization to improve business outcomes.
• Data Governance and Quality: Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure the availability, accuracy, and integrity of data used for analysis. Champion data governance best practices and contribute to the development of data infrastructure.
• Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the impact of analytics initiatives on business performance. Identify areas for continuous improvement and optimization.
• Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in analytics and data science. Evaluate and recommend new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the analytics capabilities of the organization.
• Budget Management: Manage the analytics budget for the assigned area, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, or a related field, with a significant portion of that experience in the consumer goods industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing high-performing analytics teams.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and advanced analytics techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis).
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for data and a strong desire to drive business impact through analytics.
