About the role

The Lysol Packaging Engineering Manager is responsible for the Lysol Regional Packaging Team that develops and designs end to end packaging for new and existing products, produced in house or in external facilities, in the support of key launches to expand NR, improve gross margin and deliver sustainability goals.  

Your responsibilities

  • Lead Lysol team to design and develop packaging for both new and existing products to support launches.
  • Aggressively drive and identify gross margin improvement projects for Lysol through the optimization of all levels of packaging design and/or re-design.
  • Driving Lysol to work aggressively with sustainability efforts as related to global objectives
  • Ensure Lysol packaging projects are delivered on time, on cost and on quality.
  • Manage and report Lysol cost saving initiatives for packaging related projects.
  • Provide technical expertise to Quality department to resolve packaging related quality issues.
  • Provide imaginative and practicable solutions to a wide range of packaging issues.
  • Lead Lysol continuous improvement programs in our factory and EMO manufacturing processes through the redesign of packaging components.
  • Coach and provide career path guidance for Lysol team members.

The experience we're looking for

  • BS in Packaging Engineering or related scientific field
  • 8+ years related experience.
  • Extensive technical and theoretical knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of packaging (or related) technical procedures commonly used in a lab setting.
  • Knowledge of sustainable packaging and e-commerce.
  • Position requires approximately 30% travel.
  • This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

US salary ranges

USD $148,000.00  -  $222,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
