About the role
This is a hands-on technical position in which the associate is expected to complete preventive maintenance and perform equipment troubleshooting/repair and installation
Your responsibilities
· Plan, improve, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance according to the schedule.
· Lead in a team environment, support production equipment and personnel as needed in a safe and efficient manner.
· Must provide excellent customer service to all internal customers.
· Responsible for the ordering of parts, procurement of quotes for equipment, and production modifications within prescribed budgets. (Tour will initiate a quote with outside vendor when necessary and Tag asset mechanic of equipment so that the asset mechanic can take over when necessary
· Troubleshoot Mechanic/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic problems that arise on equipment(basic-intermediate level experience helpful)
· Continually plan, develop and complete equipment improvement projects focused on equipment capacity, quality and cost improvements.
· Complete root cause analysis, in line with down time procedure to Identify and implement preventative solutions.
· Design and implement planned maintenance and new projects
Support escalation process for line stoppages or breakdowns more than 15 mins or two consecutive hours of below target OEE.
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in respect of safety, cGMP and quality systems
· Documentation of all work being down including Pass down, CMMS system, Logbooks, and email per the Policy of Reckitt Salt Lake City
· Tour Mechanic are the first responders to daily/nightly Breakdowns on all equipment, and will assist all asset mechanics with Breakdowns, Preventative maintenance, and projects, and Root cause analysis.
· Ordering parts for breakdowns, PMs. Tour will initiate a quote with outside vendor when necessary and CC asset mechanic of equipment so that the asset mechanic can take over when necessary
· Must meet/exceed all Level 1 qualifications to qualify for level 2 position
The experience we're looking for
· Very strong electrical or mechanical skills and competent in the other.
· Must have a excellent mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical controls and mechanical systems.
· Must have good communication skills (English) and the ability to interact well with other departments in a team environment.
· Must have intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Windows) and have ability to learn new systems as required.
· Must be a competent troubleshooter and understand both the equipment function and the production process associated with the equipment.
· Must be physically able to bend and twist.
· Must be capable of lifting 55 pounds
