About the role
The Facilities Team Lead supports site-wide operations by providing technical expertise in plant utilities, building systems, and facility maintenance. This role performs and oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the facility and critical systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The Facilities Team Lead prioritizes tasks, directs daily work for technicians and contractors, and upholds safety and quality standards while supporting a manufacturing operation.
Your responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Provide daily direction, guidance, and technical support to facilities technicians and vendors.
- Set expectations for work quality, responsiveness, safety, and customer service.
- Monitor KPIs and escalate recurring issues or trends to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Train and mentor team members in mechanical systems, safety practices, and standard procedures.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance & Operations
- Serve as a working technician while leading team activities.
- Prioritize and assign work orders, preventive maintenance, and project tasks.
- Inspect facility equipment for defects and coordinate repair activities.
- Perform and oversee repairs on HVAC, boilers, compressed air, water systems, and related utilities.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the CMMS and support compliance requirements.
Vendor & Resource Management
- Manage contractors performing grounds, building, and utility maintenance.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Assist with planning and allocation of tools, spare parts, and maintenance resources.
- Support contractors working onsite in accordance with site policies and safety requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP standards (if applicable), and Reckitt policies.
- Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and uphold safe work practices.
- Lead by example in professionalism, safety, and adherence to standards.
The experience we're looking for
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a closely related field.
- 1–2 years of leadership or senior technician experience preferred.
- Experience in vitamin, food, chemical, industrial, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of plant utilities (HVAC, boilers, compressed air, cooling water, purified water, wastewater treatment, dust collection).
- Experience with SAP highly desired.

- Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Ability to identify problems early, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical staff.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain required certifications (forklift, aerial lift, LOTO).
- High sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to safe work practices.
