About the role
The NPD–EPD Manager plays a critical role in driving product innovation, lifecycle management, and business growth. This position is responsible for leading New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) activities from concept through commercialization, ensuring products meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, cost targets, and quality standards.
By aligning cross‑functional teams from R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Manufacturing, the NPD–EPD Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with strategic objectives. This role directly supports the company’s competitiveness, innovation pipeline, and long‑term sustainability.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects from initial concept through launch and post‑launch review.
- Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales to ensure product requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and milestones, ensuring on‑time and cost‑effective delivery.
- Drive product improvements and cost optimization initiatives for existing products while maintaining quality, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all development activities comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory and safety requirements.
- Review technical designs, specifications, and validation results to ensure product readiness for production and market launch.
- Identify project risks and issues early, recommend corrective actions, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Support product commercialization, including pilot runs, production readiness, documentation, and handover to operations.
- Monitor post‑launch performance and lead continuous improvement actions based on customer feedback, quality data, and market needs.
- Provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Coach and guide team members to strengthen development capability, collaboration, and technical understanding.
The experience we're looking for
- 7–10 years experience in product development, handling new and existing products
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams such as R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Hands‑on experience managing product development projects from concept to launch
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements
- Experience in product improvement, cost reduction, or redesign activities
