About the role
This role supports the transformation that PLM brings to R&D and Core Reckitt by enabling efficient data management and documentation workflows for raw material specifications. You will work closely with the Senior Associate and the RM Data Collection Team to gather, validate, organise, and maintain raw material related data and supplier documentation. Your work ensures that R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing have access to accurate and up-to-date raw material information within our PLM and associated systems.
Working under the guidance of the Senior Associate, you will provide operational and data management support that enables effective management of the raw material specification portfolio and supports the continuous improvement of specification quality and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented, and keen to develop toward a career in specification management. It also plays a key role in driving data accuracy, documentation completeness, and efficient workflows essential to the creation and maintenance of raw material specifications.
Your responsibilities
- Support the Senior Associate by gathering required technical, regulatory and quality data for new or updated specifications
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of the raw material specification portfolio, ensuring data, documentation, and stakeholder requests are managed effectively.
- Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and metrics to support KPI tracking, data quality monitoring, and portfolio progress reviews.
- Support the collection, organisation and maintenance of supplier specification documentation to ensure alignment with internal raw material specifications.
- Work closely with RM Specification Managers to understand data needs, priorities and timelines.
- Perform quality checks and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or documentation issues for review by the Senior Associate
- Assist with alignment and harmonisation efforts across sites including helping identify duplicates and ensuring consistency of data fields.
- Provide administrative and data-focused support during RM audits, reviews or governance activities
- Assist in preparing general raw material specifications by gathering required and missing information from multiple sources
- Support the maintenance of RM data in PLM and associated databases, ensuring timely updates and alignment with defined data quality standards
The experience we're looking for
- Good degree in relevant technical discipline, ideally Chemistry with experience working with data systems (e.g., TDS, databases)
- Strong data handling and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience or strong aptitude in database management, reporting tools or analytics (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, solve problems and produce both detailed and summary reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to operate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of corporate codes of conduct.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous).
- Understanding of the product lifecycle and of regulatory environment within the FMCG sector.
- Basic technical understanding of raw materials, their roles in formulations, and factors that affect suitability (e.g., regulatory or safety considerations).
