About the role

The role of R&D PDM Manager IW is to protect, maintain & improve a complex portfolio of the Intimate Wellness category products on a global scale. This role is responsible for managing and developing a team to deliver a varied set of projects and maintenance activities aligned with the relevant supply, regulatory, global brand and local business strategies. Also includes defining functional best practice and functional strategy for relevant areas of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • R&D leadership of a designated range of marketed Reckitt products, ensuring continued compliance, availability on shelf for our consumers, and optimised costs.
  • To work with a large and complex group of key partners and stakeholders (Supply, regulatory, local and global marketing, Category R&D) to deliver a wide range of projects/solutions across the Intimate Wellness category portfolio.
  • To manage and develop an R&D team including analysts, formulators, project leaders and medical device administration team to deliver product changes.
  • To formulate and implement portfolio improvement and maintenance strategies across the given Intimate Wellness brands.
  • Responsible for various technologies on current Intimate Wellness category products
  • Ownership of direct communication with senior internal and external stakeholders

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum 5-7 years R&D experience with a proven track record of delivery
  • 3 years+ Analytical experience desirable (HPLC, GC, wet chemistry techniques, ISO testing methodology)
  • Experience of working in a Healthcare environment (i.e. on Medical Devices) using design control (ISO 13485) & risk management (ISO 14971) is essential with desirable experience of other regulated categories (licenced medicine or cosmetic)
  • Knowledge of technology and or manufacturing of the medical device portfolio (condoms, gels, liquids etc.) is desirable.
  • Line management and people development
  • An excellent technical problem solver based on root cause analysis
  • Proven track record in active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions
  • Experience with resource planning
  • Ability to deliver through others
  • Experience in prioritizing workloads that include both high volume and complexity
