About the role
Leads the incoming packaging material team on a daily basis, ensuring all activities are completed on time and in accordance with established procedures and Good Control Laboratory Practice (GCLP). Provides continuous operational support to planning, warehouse, and production functions to uphold consumer quality and customer service performance within the Bangplee factory.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the packaging material team to ensure stable production, especially when manufacturing plans change.
- Prioritize the team’s daily workload to meet planning and production needs.
- Maintain and update all packaging material specifications.
- Create and maintain testing worksheets in the logbook and SAP according to PLM standards.
- Own and maintain all SOPs related to packaging and safety.
- Coordinate with planning, production, warehouse, procurement, and quality teams when packaging materials encounter quality issues.
- Conduct testing on all packaging materials.
- Ensure packaging material test results are reviewed, approved, recorded, and stored in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Control Laboratory Practices.
- Ensure packaging materials are sampled according to plan and support the production schedule.
- Approve and release all packaging materials in the SAP system.
- Oversee retention and management of packaging material samples.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Ensure laboratory investigations are accurate and thorough, and escalate any confirmed OOS or OOT results according to global and local standards.
- Follow all Health & Safety requirements and ensure safe working practices.
- Communicate with the packaging team and AQL when packaging specification issues occur.
- Prepare and support raw material and packaging material rejection reports for production, warehouse, planning, and suppliers.
- Review packaging material reports and compile monthly summaries on material rejection and Right First Time (RFT) performance.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding packaging material issues, including sampling processes, complaint reports, and rejection reports.
- Co-manage laboratory housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety, ensuring facilities remain in good condition and ready for use.
- Review and confirm that testing instruments are maintained and calibrated as scheduled.
- Perform other assigned projects or tasks as required.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Packaging & Material, or a related field.
- No experience required, but experience in quality control or packaging material inspection is an advantage.
- As RB is a global business, candidates should be open to international relocation for career development and new challenges.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel when required.
- Good command of written, spoken, and listening English.
